Student News | Monday, November 2, 2020

UPDATE, November 16: Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Ohio, this event has been canceled. Organizers want to thank all who had registered for the event. Refunds have been made.

Get an early start on the holiday season with a unique virtual baking demonstration. It will include a conversation with chefs at Mitchell Hall. The cost is $25, and it includes a Baker’s dozen of 13 cookies! The virtual event will be Friday, December 4 from 6-7 p.m. and hosted by Chef Josh Wickham, director of the School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts.

To register for the event, go to this link, then go to "Details," then to "Check out." Note: you must register by Monday, November 23 at 4 p.m. Your $25 fee will include a variety of a Baker’s dozen cookies. A house-made cider will be available upon checkout for $5.00 per quart.

You will be able to enjoy the cookies you purchase during the presentation. You will be asked to pick them up curbside the day of the event, December 4, from 7:30-9 a.m. or from 4-5:30 p.m. The pickup site will be on the south side of the building. (If you are facing Mitchell Hall from Cleveland Avenue, it’s on the right side of the building.) If you are not familiar with the location, enter 250 Cleveland Avenue into your GPS to guide you there. You can access the pickup spot from the 11-S parking lot, the same lot where Mitchell Hall is located. The cookies will be brought to your car. (See the pickup site picture below. The red arrow marks the door where someone will exit to bring the cookies to your car.)
