Admission
After students have applied and are accepted into Columbus State with a declared Nutrition & Dietetics major, they are required to apply directly to the Nutrition & Dietetics Program. Admission to the Dietetic Technician Program is offered only during the spring semester for an autumn semester start. The deadline for applications is April 1st. Apply to the program here: Application Form
Dietetic Technician Admission Requirements
- Placement into STAT1350
- Placement into ENGL1100
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher at CSCC or the school or college most recently attended. If less than 12 credits have been completed at CSCC, the GPA from the most recently attended learning institution will be used for program admission purposes.

Candidates Selected to the Dietetic Technician Program
Upon conditional admission to the Dietetic Technician program:
- Candidates are required to complete the Acknowledgement & Demographic Form. Form will be supplied by Paula Gallagher, Nutrition & Dietetics Program Coordinator.
- Candidates are required to complete a background check, drug test, and health record at the student’s expense. Instructions for completing these requirements will be sent to candidates. The deadline for these submissions is May 15th.
Students who decline the offer of admission, fail to respond to the offer or withdraw from the program must re-apply to be considered for a future class.
