Admissions
There are no separate applications to enter the Fire Science program – you just need
to apply to the college, complete health records paperwork, sign up for classes and
attend a mandatory uniform fitting.
FIRE classes fill up quickly once registration opens. Many students take general education
requirements while waiting for an opportunity to schedule FIRE classes.

Firefighter I & II
Successful completion of this course allows you to take the test to become state certified
as a professional firefighter. Upon achieving certification you can apply for a job
as a firefighter (although most fire departments in Central Ohio also require an EMT
or Paramedic certification).
