Sponsor an Employee’s Education

Columbus State offers companies the option to sponsor an employee’s education by paying up-front for their educational costs. Employers have the opportunity to specify which educational expenses they wish to sponsor, and the student is responsible for any additional educational costs.

Why sponsor a student?

Educational assistance programs like this are a great way to attract and retain talented employees. A recent study with the Cigna Corporation found a 129 percent return on investment on its tuition assistance program as a result of avoided talent management costs.

Sponsorship versus Tuition Reimbursement

While both types of tuition assistance programs are extremely beneficial, sponsorship reduces the workload for your benefits managers by combining all the pre-approved educational fees into a single invoice. Sponsorship also relieves the student’s burden of paying up-front for tuition costs. Many students finance their tuition on credit cards, incurring high-interest charges along the way.

How to get started

Getting started with student sponsorship is simple. Complete the documents linked below to identify the costs you would like to sponsor and which employees are eligible. Then, Columbus State will work directly with the students to enroll them in the approved classes and prepare a single invoice for you each semester.
