Foreign Education Credential Submission
Note: most questions are answered below in our Frequently Asked Questions section.
Proof of high school and college transcripts are not required for general admission. However, if you completed high school or college work overseas, and you would like to submit proof of that work to Columbus State Community College, please note the following:
Foreign High School Transcripts:
If you are required to submit proof of your foreign high school graduation, you must use a NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) accredited evaluation company to obtain an official evaluation report showing that your foreign credentials are equivalent to a U.S. High School Diploma. See below for a complete list of NACES companies that CSCC will accept evaluations from.
Please note you need only to order a document-by-document or credential-by-credential evaluation report for high school transcript evaluations. Usually, you will only be asked to obtain an evaluation in one of two cases:
- If you are applying for financial aid and are selected for high school verification, OR
- If your program of study (such as Nursing) requires proof of high school graduation.
Foreign Post-Secondary / College Transcripts:
If you have completed college level course work overseas and would like to obtain transfer credit for that work, you will need to have your transcripts evaluated by a NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) accredited evaluation company. See below for a complete list of NACES companies that CSCC will accept evaluations from. To obtain transfer credit for courses taken overseas, you must order a course-by-course evaluation with grades.
Please note that a professional evaluation is the only way that credentials or course work from outside of the USA can be submitted to the college. See below for a complete list of professional evaluation companies that we will accept evaluations from, and please have the evaluation company send the evaluation report directly to CSCC at the following address:
