Transitioning from College Credit Plus
Congratulations on completing College Credit Plus classes through Columbus State. That smart move gives you a great head start of college!
As a College Credit Plus participant, you are already a valued Columbus State student, and we want you to continue on with us as a full-time student after you graduate from high school! CCP students are not required to re-submit an application for admission. You’re already accepted and ready to choose your major.

Registration Steps
Follow the steps below to complete all of the admissions steps and get ready to register for your first semester of classes.
Declare a major at Columbus State. If you know which major you want to pursue, contact your Columbus State CCP advisor or ccpadvising@cscc.edu. Not sure which major? Use the CareerQuest tool to help you determine where your interests lie.
Complete the FAFSA at fafsa.gov (Columbus State school code: 006867).
Your Columbus State College Credit Plus credits are already here, so no need to do anything there!
If you completed College Credit Plus through another college or university (other than Columbus State), request an official transcript from the college(s) where you have earned credit. Most colleges have an online transcript request process that you can find easily by visiting their site and searching for “transcripts.”
If you completed AP classes, request an official transcript from The College Board to be sent to Columbus State.
IMPORTANT: We must receive your official transcript directly from the college. Students are not permitted to submit transcripts.
Your next step is to submit your qualifying ACT/SAT scores and check with your CCP advisor to see if re-testing is necessary.
Near the end of your senior year of high school, you will get an invitation in your Columbus State student email to attend New Student Orientation.
