The Transfer Office offers a variety of workshops and events to provide students with the information, resources, and guidance needed to plan a successful transfer pathway. Each semester, students can attend workshops, information sessions, transfer fairs, and other events, both in person and online, to help them make informed decisions and take the next steps in their transfer journey.

Essentials for Transfer Success I

Start building your transfer foundation. This introductory virtual workshop helps you understand what it means to plan for transfer and identify the first steps you can take at Columbus State Community College. You’ll learn how to connect with your support team, explore transfer institutions and career options, and use the Transfer Student Success resources available to you.

Essentials for Transfer Success II

Turn your transfer goals into a plan. This virtual workshop helps you move from exploring your options to making informed decisions about where you want to transfer. You’ll learn how to research transfer agreements and Preferred Pathways, use Transferology, connect with university representatives, visit schools of interest, and begin tracking important application and financial aid deadlines.

A great fit if you have started exploring transfer and are ready to narrow your options and plan your next steps.

Essentials for Transfer Success III

Prepare to apply and make your transition. This interactive workshop focuses on the steps you’ll need to take as you get closer to completing your Columbus State goals and moving on to your next institution. You’ll learn about applying to transfer institutions, sending official transcripts, completing FAFSA and scholarship requirements, and preparing for your transition to your new school.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work through the application process with guidance and support, giving you time to ask questions and begin or complete your transfer application.

A great fit if you are getting close to graduation and are ready to take action on your transfer plans.
