Outcome Measures
As a program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), the Columbus State Community College MLT Program makes outcome measures for the past three years available to prospective and enrolled students. The outcome measures defined by NAACLS includes pass rates on the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) Exam, graduation rates, attrition rates, and graduate placement rates for students entering the final half of the MLT Program.
The outcome measures for those students entering the final half of the MLT Program for the past three years are as follows:
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC) Exam Pass Rates
- Between 2020 and 2021 the program's ASCP BOC pass rate was 100% (twelve out of twelve students who took the exam passed).
- Between 2019 and 2020 the program's ASCP BOC pass rate was 94% (sixteen out of seventeen students who took the exam passed).
- Between 2018 and 2019 the program's ASCP BOC pass rate was 100% (fifteen out of fifteen students who took the exam passed).
MLT Program Graduation Rates
- Between 2020 and 2021 the program's graduation rate was 87% (thirteen out of fifteen students graduated).
- Between 2019 and 2020 the program's graduation rate was 91% (twenty one out of twenty three students graduated).
- Between 2018 and 2019 the program's graduation rate was 95% (twenty out of twenty
one students graduated).
MLT Program Attrition Rates
- Between 2020 and 2021 the program's attrition rate was 11% (two out of eighteen students).
- Between 2019 and 2020 the program's attrition rate was 9% (two out of twenty three students).
- Between 2018 and 2019 the program's attrition rate was 5% (one out of twenty one students).
MLT Program Placement Rates
- Between 2020 and 2021 the program's placement rate was 100% (six out of six students seeking employment were hired).
- Between 2019 and 2020 the program's placement rate was 92% (eleven out of twelve students seeking employment were hired).
- Between 2018 and 2019 the program's placement rate was 88% (seven out of eight students
seeking employment were hired).
