Outcome Measures

As a program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), the Columbus State Community College MLT Program makes outcome measures for the past three years available to prospective and enrolled students. The outcome measures defined by NAACLS includes pass rates on the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) Exam, graduation rates, and graduate placement rates for students entering the final half of the MLT Program. 

The outcome measures for those students entering the final half of the MLT Program for the past three years are as follows:

American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC) Exam Pass Rates  

Between 2023 and 2024 the program's ASCP BOC pass rate was 100%
Between 2022 and 2023 the program’s ASCP BOC pass rate was 93% 
Between 2021 and 2022 the program’s ASCP BOC pass rate was 100% 

MLT Program Graduation Rates  

Between 2023 and 2024 the program's graduation rate was 83%
Between 2022 and 2023 the program’s graduation rate was 80% 
Between 2021 and 2022 the program’s graduation rate was 96%    

MLT Program Placement Rates  

Between 2023 and 2024 the program's placement rate was 75%
Between 2022 and 2023 the program’s placement rate was 86% 
Between 2021 and 2022 the program’s placement rate was 86%
