Orientation & Registration is Step 4 in the Get Started Guide
We want to make sure you have everything you need for a successful transition into college. Once you've applied, New Student Programs can help you get ready for your first semester.
At this step, you'll register for your first courses. For most students, you'll attend an Orientation or New Student Workshop. We have special instructions for College Credit Plus students, students attending another university, and other groups. Read these instructions carefully.
When to start: Once you've completed your placement and testing, you'll receive an email with your Next Steps. At that point, you'll be ready to sign up for your Orientation, New Student Workshop, or other next steps.
Find Your Orientation
You'll attend an Orientation or New Student Workshop if:
- It's your first time in college
- You don't fall under the criteria for "Special Instructions" or "Prior College Experience."
First Time in College
If this is your first time in college, continue to Orientation or New Student Workshop. Keep reading to find special instructions for specific groups and students with prior college experience.
Special Instructions
Prior College Experience
If you already have experience with college, you may be able to skip Orientation if you are a:
