There are several admission requirements, including an online Nursing Information Session, that you must complete prior to submitting your online application. A competitive admissions process is utilized to rank applicants for admission into the Nursing Program.

It is possible to work full time if you are taking a part-time course load but it is very difficult to work full time, attend classes full time, and be successful. The nursing program requires a great deal of studying and completion of clinical assignments. Students who have other significant time commitments often find it hard to be successful in nursing.
No, the nursing program uses electronic books and other electronic resources. These e-books and resources will be used throughout the program and cannot be sold back.
Yes, LPNs, Paramedics, and Military Medics may be eligible for Advanced Standing placement in the nursing program. Completion of the "Advanced Standing Information Session" is required as a part of the application process (see Nursing Admissions). The application is available at Advanced Standing Nursing

Yes, we have an active chapter. There are faculty members in the Nursing Department who have been appointed advisors and are available for questions and guidance.
Before you enter nursing you can talk to a Health and Human Services advisor. Once you are accepted into the nursing program, you are assigned a nursing
faculty advisor. They can help you with scheduling and answering all your questions
about the nursing program.
Students will need an "open elective" (Basic & Related course of 3 credit hours) to complete the program. Listed below are courses that are automatically approved and meet requirements for transfer to a participating pathway partner's BSN program:

The nursing program has two tracks to choose from:
The traditional track has class time on campus.
The blended track is a mix of online and on-campus course work. Students in the blended
track are required to be on campus according to course schedules. The blended option
is not a guarantee for weekend or evening classes, clinical, lab, etc.
