A recent estimate holds that 26,000 jobs will open up in Ohio's insurance industry
over the next five years as companies grow and workers retire.
And that's not just sales. Those jobs include marketing, underwriting, HR and IT.
Columbus State's new Foundations of Insurance certificate is intended to help you
get your foot in the door.
Foundations of Insurance Certificate
This 6-class sequence is designed to get students into entry-level positions in central
Ohio's thriving insurance industry.
The Foundations of Insurance certificate is a natural fit for students who are already
in the Finance or Business Management programs.
The certificate includes a new course, Principles of Insurance (FMGT 2232). This course
introduces the principles of insurance and risk management, including terminology
and definitions as used in the industry. Course Description
