
Construction Management
The Construction Management program prepares graduates for entry-level employment with all types of construction companies and awards an Associate in Applied Science in Construction Management degree.
In addition, we also offer the following certificates:
- Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Estimating/Bidding
- Facility Conservation and Energy Management
- Field Supervision
- Residential Construction Management
Construction management positions include work assignments in marketing, sales, estimating and purchasing; field assignments include those in scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, assisting field superintendents, and monitoring safety programs. The local job market for these graduates is expected to continue to grow as the Columbus construction industry steadily expands.

Two Design Construction & Trades Department students have received a Dean M. Bortz
CSI CDT CCPR Scholarship. Grace Ciminillo Delamotte, who is a College Credit Plus student, was awarded $1,250. Travis Lucas was awarded $500. Both are Construction Management students at Columbus State. Delamotte is working on starting a design-build firm. Lucas wants to design using 3-D modeling (BIM) and work in a construction or design firm. Click on image for full story. |
