Student Nurses' Association
Student Nurses' Association Mission Statement
To help develop the whole person in their professional role and responsibility for
the healthcare of people in all walks of life. Also, to influence healthcare, while
promoting and encouraging participation in community affairs.
Activities
The Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) is open to students in the Registered Nurse
(RN) Program at CSCC. All RN students are welcome and encouraged to join. SNA allows
students throughout the RN program to fellowship with and support one another. Students
have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by serving as an officer in the
organization.
SNA participates in multiple services activities each year, often hosting supply drives
for community organizations. We host fundraisers (bake sales, shirt/sweatshirt sales,
etc.) to raise money to assist with the RN Pinning Ceremony. Students who participate
in the required number of service activities are recognized at the pinning ceremony.
Meetings
All RN students are welcome and encouraged to join SNA. Students can sign up to join
SNA via CougarConnect on the Cscc.edu website. Students may also contact the organization
advisors (Jill Ritchey and Alison Romanowski) or officers to join. SNA meeting times
and locations are posted to CougarConnect and also communicated via email to students
who are part of the organization. Students who are considering joining SNA are invited
to attend a meeting or other organization activity if they would like. Please see
CougarConnect at https://connect.cscc.edu/ for further information.
The CSCC SNA organization is part of the larger National Student Nurses Association
(NSNA). Students can join the NSNA at https://nsnamembership.org/
