Gospel Vocal Ensemble to perform film favorites

On Friday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m., the Gospel Vocal Ensemble will present, "Grace at the Movies" in Nestor Auditorium. During this performance, the Ensemble will perform gospel songs that were featured on the big screen. Some scenes surrounding the songs will be recreated. The repertoire will stem from movies such as, "The Color Purple," "Fighting Temptations," "Grace Unplugged," and "Sister Act I & II."  Special guests will include local recording artists Rosetta Perry, Christina Myles, and Rhonda Crockett. Other special guests include the One Accord Band, Ms. Taimaryeona Johnson, and Mr. Stanley Thornton. So, come walk the red carpet, and enjoy a light-hearted evening with the movies and good music! The Ensemble is under the direction of Mrs. Emma L. Easton.
