Curriculum Development
This project will adapt Columbus State Community College’s highly successful Modern
Manufacturing Work-Study Program to the field of Logistics Engineering Technology
and create a plan of study for the second-year work experience. The project will focus
on engaging underemployed individuals, incumbent workers, and military veterans in
the program. Activities include:
- Focusing an existing industry advisory committee on the work-study model
- Adapting a plan of study for the second-year work-study experience
- Leveraging experience from the Modern Manufacturing Work-Study Program to design the
parameters for work-study students
- Creating a work-readiness advising model
- Establishing employer partners for pilot implementation of the work-study program
- Developing a model articulation agreement with Ohio University
- Replicating a template articulation with Ohio State regional campuses and other institutions
