Student Information Updates

To ensure that Columbus State can effectively communicate with and provide support to students, students are encouraged to keep their personal information up-to-date. Students can update or correct information through the following methods:

• Personal and Contact Information (No Approvals Required) - Students are able to update their mailing address, personal email address, phone number, emergency contact information, and personal identity information (chosen name, name pronunciation, pronouns, or gender identity) on their own. Students are also able to give proxy access using the Friends & Family feature.
  
  Please log into Workday and navigate to the Personal and Contact tabs to review current information and make changes. Please references these Workday Guides & Help Videos or reach out to us in-person, by email, phone, or chat for assistance.

• Personal Updates Requiring Documentation - Students who need to correct or update their legal name, date of birth, Social Security Number (SSN), Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), or Selective Service Number, can initiate those changes in Workday (under the Personal tab) with additional documentation.
• Program of Study Updates - Students can update their primary program of study or a certificate using any of the options below:
  
  • Meet with an academic advisor*
  • Call the Telephone Information Center at 614-287-5353
  • Visit Student Central (Columbus Campus) or Student Services (Delaware Campus) in person
  • Use the Student Central chat feature

*Important: Approval from an advisor is required if requesting to add a second program of study!
