University of Maryland - Global Campus

University of Maryland-Global Campus was founded in 1947 as part of the University of Maryland- College Park. Since that time, this regionally accredited, publicly funded university has grown to over 80,000 students who study online or at one of over 190 locations around the US and the world. UMGC is part of the University System of Maryland and is one of the largest public providers of online education to working adults, active duty servicemembers, and veterans. Students may transfer up to 70 credit hours from community college toward their bachelor's degree. Students seeking to transfer to UMGC must be high school graduates or hold a GED for admission.
