Western Governors University

Western Governors UniversityColumbus State Community College is a member of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges (OACC). As members, graduates and employees of Columbus State can enjoy the benefits of the Western Governors University transfer partnership with OACC.  Western Governors University is an online, non-profit institution that is regionally accredited. It utilizes the competency-based model of teaching and learning. Students can begin their education at WGU at any time and take as many classes as they desire in a six-month time span for one price.   Students may choose to transfer to WGU at anytime during their education.  For more information on the competency-based model and WGU, students are encouraged to click on the links below.

Each WGU student is guided through this process by their individual Mentor, who has a master’s degree and is an expert in the degree program that the student has chosen.
