Mount Vernon Nazarene University is a private university affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene and was founded in 1969 in Mount Vernon, Ohio (about 45 minutes northeast of Columbus). Over 2200 students in undegraduate and graduate programs attend MVNU in over 40 different programs of study. MVNU has suburban centers for adult and non-traditional students in Newark and New Albany, as well as online completion programs available to students who choose not to attend its main campus.
