Excelsior University

Columbus State Community College is a member of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges (OACC). As members, graduates and employees of Columbus State can enjoy the benefits of the Excelsior University transfer partnership with OACC. Please read the signed partnership agreement below to learn about the details and benefits of this agreement. Excelsior offers bachelors degrees in several different areas, including: business, technology, liberal arts, and health care.  Excelsior University is a non-profit, distance education institution that is regionally accredited and based in New York state. It utilizes the competency-based model of teaching and learning, liberal transfer of college course work, and a limited residency requirement. Students can begin their education at Excelsior at any time.

Statewide Institutional Agreement with Excelsior University through OACC

Effective Autumn 2023, students who apply to Excelsior will have their transfer credit evaluated for no cost at the time of admission.  All credit a student has accrued until their application to Excelsior will be evaluated at that time and applied, as appropriate, to their degree program.  However, students who seek to transfer additional credit after enrolling at Excelsior will be subject to a $300 credit evaluation fee.
