Five Columbus State students took part in the 2022 National Collegiate Landscape Competition held March 16-19 at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The National Association of Landscape Professionals sponsors the event. The five-person team was among the smaller groups representing an institution, but the students still managed to have a respectable showing in various competitions. (By comparison, the winning school, Brigham Young University had 40 students.)

Among the results, Columbus State’s two-person Hardscape Installation team with Owen Forchione and AJ McCoy, placed second and qualified for a national competition this fall.  In addition, three Columbus State students attending earned a collective $13,000 in scholarship money.
