The Modern Manufacturing Work-Study (MMWS) program at Columbus State takes you from college student to experienced professional in just two years or five semesters. The program combines classroom and lab learning with paid work-study positions, providing on-the-job training at industry partner companies. This means you graduate ready for a career in the field of Engineering Technology.
You can choose from two majors within the MMWS Program:
Electronic Engineering Technology
Mechanical Engineering Technology
Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology
Logistics Engineering Technology (This link is temporarily unavailable)
After two semesters of full-time study, you’ll interview with our partner companies for a work-study position. These paid positions are 24 hours a week at $18-26 an hour. On the job, you’ll learn engineering technology fundamentals, as well as company-specific procedures. When you graduate, you’ll be a top candidate for full-time employment at starting salaries usually ranging from $50,000–$60,000 annually.
