IT Flexible Apprenticeship program

Student News | Monday, September 20, 2021

The IT Flexible Apprenticeship (ITFA) Program at Columbus State takes you from college student to experienced professional in just two years or five semesters. The program combines classroom and lab learning with a paid apprenticeship, providing on-the-job training at industry partner companies. This means you graduate ready for a career in the field of Information Technology.

You can choose from two majors within the ITFA Program:

Software Development
Cyber Security
Data Center Tech

After two semesters of full-time study, you’ll interview with our partner companies for an apprenticeship position. These paid positions are 24 hours a week at $18–26 an hour. On the job, you’ll learn information technology fundamentals, as well as company-specific procedures. When you graduate, you’ll be a top candidate for full-time employment at starting salaries usually ranging from $50,000-$60,000 annually.
