“Improve for Interviews” workshop for students
Student News | Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Career Services is offering an “Improv for Interviews” workshop. Led by Barbara Allen, Professional Development and Retention Department coordinator and experienced improvisational actress and director, students will learn the practical applications and connections between “improv” and leadership.
Improvisation - or improv - is a form of theater in which the plot, characters, and dialogue of a game, scene or story, are made up in the moment. The skills and mindset that come from learning improvisational techniques span far beyond the world of theater. It is being incorporated in professional development training across the country. This workshop will include fun, interactive activities that will help you be able to think quickly on your feet, recover from making a misstep, and see the interview process in a whole new light!
The workshop for students will be held on Wednesday, April 3 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the media studio in the lower level of the Library. For more information on how to sign up please go here.
