Internships through the Internship Program can be paid or unpaid, but our goal is for our student to obtain paid positions. Students receive college credits, an opportunity to work with an employer in their career field and gain work-related experience that will help boost resume.
Yes. Students can participate in more than one internship; however, students will only receive academic credit for one internship experience. Please consult with your academic advisor and program coordinator to ensure your eligibility.
Yes, however, you must work with your supervisor in developing a project(s) that are not related to your current position. The project(s) should be directly related to your academic program. The internship should also be approved by your Program Coordinator.
Yes. Students have completed internships with various departments at the College, as long as they are aligned with the students’ degree path. Visit https://www.cscc.edu/services/careers/work-study.shtml for current opportunities.
It is encouraged that students participate in a work based experiential learning opportunity whether it be for credit or non-credit.
