Sport & Exercise Studies
The Sport & Exercise Studies (formally Sports & Fitness Management) program was developed
and initiated in 1992 to meet the varying needs of the recreational community in central
Ohio. With well over 30 years of service to the Columbus community, the emphasis
in the program is placed on real work situations, hands-on training, and a strong
theoretical base on which to derive decisions about career choice and direction.
Customer service is the core of the program. Meeting the needs of a varying student
population diverse in gender, race, socio-economic status, disability, veteran status,
sexual orientation, religious background, and educational level is a goal of the faculty
in the SES program. In turn, instructing students to meet those same needs in the
larger society is our challenge to the Sport & Exercise Studies student population.
Program Accreditation
The college is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools,
and courses are approved for veteran's benefits.
