What You'll Learn

The Primary Education Associate of Arts includes 12 required general education courses (in English, math, science, psychology, humanities, etc.). Ohio’s required American History course is included. These courses fulfill the general education courses students will need if/when you pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Includes these TAG/OT36 education courses. This is a state-guaranteed 36-credit general education block transferable across all public two- and four‑year Ohio institutions.

These courses prepare you for Ohio’s teacher licensure pathways in PreK–5th Grade, Middle Childhood (4–9), Adolescence to Young Adult (7–12), and multi-age (PreK-12) for music, art, TESOL, special education, and more.
