On Monday, February 5, Mark Harden, Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team Program Manager, presented the Gold Award of Excellence to Associate Professors Gene Sprang and Jeff Gruber. The award is for Aviation Maintenance Technology's participation in the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Awards Program.

Sprang and Gruber also received Individual Bronze Awards for participation in the AMT Awards Program.

Aviation Maintenance offers an associate degree in Aviation Maintenance, as well as certificates in airframe and powerplant work.
