Supplemental Instruction

A student-led study group for your class.

With Supplemental Instruction (SI), a student SI Leader (who has already passed the class) attends the class and then leads a study group twice a week. We've found that students who attend SI study sessions can potentially earn about one letter grade higher than students who don't attend SI study sessions.

• SI sessions are free and voluntary.
• SI sessions meet for 50 minutes, 2 times a week. The SI Leader covers the same content in both sessions, and students may attend one or both.

* Not your section? You can still attend an SI study session! SI Leaders sit in on particular sections of the course, but students from other sections of the same course may attend the SI sessions. However, be sure to check with the SI Leader to be sure the content covered suits your particular section of the course.
