Cougar ID Cards

Cougar ID cards are provided to current Columbus State students and employees for various purposes, including borrowing books from the campus Library, utilizing the student Computer Commons and Fitness Center, as well as for identification purposes.

To obtain an ID card, individuals are required to provide a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a Driver’s License, State ID card, green card, passport, or current US Military ID). For additional details regarding Ohio-issued IDs, please refer to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Those without proper documentation are encouraged to contact cougarids@cscc.edu to inquire about potential options for acquiring a Cougar ID card.

How to Obtain a Columbus State ID card

Students:

Students may receive a student ID card after registering for classes along with payment of tuition and fees. ID cards are not required to attend classes, unless this is specified in class.

ID cards may be updated with a validation sticker each semester. Stickers are available in the ID office (lower level of MA-Madison Hall), Student Central (upper level of MA-Madison Hall), the Cashier’s Office (upper level of RH-Rhodes Hall), the student Computer Lab (TL-Center for Technology and Learning) and the Non-Credit Office (WD-Workforce Development) for students taking Basic English as a Second Language (BESL) classes.

Lost ID Cards: To replace a lost ID card, please pay the $4.00 replacement fee at the Cashiers office on the upper level of Rhodes Hall or via telephone at 614-287-5658. Once payment is made, a receipt is emailed or provided to the student. Replacement IDs needed, due to a name change, are not assessed a fee.

Delaware Campus: Call (740) 203-8345 for information about getting a student ID card.

Employees:

IDs are issued to currently employed faculty and staff. To be eligible for an ID card, faculty must be scheduled to teach in the current or upcoming semester.
