Workday Student
We're upgrading to Workday
Columbus State is in the process of upgrading from our old student information system (Self-Service / CougarWeb) to a new system: Workday! In the new system, students will be able to register for courses, manage financial aid, update contact information, and so much more – all in a one-stop shop.
What you need to do now:
- Current Students: You don't need to do anything right now. Students will manage personal information in Workday starting in March 2026 and register for Autumn 2026 classes in Workday. Until then, register for classes using CougarWeb / Self-Service. Workday training will be available for students when we get closer to launch day.
- Future Students: Students who plan to start college in Autumn 2026 will apply for admission using Workday starting on October 13, 2025. Students, including College Credit Plus students, planning to start in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 will register using our existing process.

Offices closed for Workday Training
As part of the process to prepare for a transition to Workday Student, several student-facing offices will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Friday of each month during Autumn and Spring semesters. See Schedule
Workday Benefits
In Workday, students will:
- Register for classes in a few clicks.
- Stay organized with one convenient dashboard.
- Go paperless with digital forms and documents.
- Get financial aid payment plans and reminders.
- List a chosen name, pronouns, and name pronunciation.
- Use the mobile app to view courses and more on the go.
Rollout Timeline
Different functions will move to Workday as we progress through the upgrade. Here's
a rough outline of when you'll make the switch.
October 2025
- The online application will move to Workday for students planning to attend classes in Autumn 2026.
- Students planning to attend Spring and Summer 2026 will apply using our existing system.
- Students will register for Spring 2026 classes in CougarWeb.
January 2026

Spring Semester begins. Students register and pay fees for for Spring 2026 in CougarWeb.
March 2026
- Students planning to start in Autumn 2026 will manage Financial Aid in Workday.
April 2026
- All students will update personal information (name changes, address, contact info) in Workday
- Students will register and pay fees for Summer 2026 classes in CougarWeb.
- Students will register for Autumn 2026 classes in Workday.
July 2026
- Fee payments for Autumn 2026 will be made in Workday.
August 2026
- Summer 2026 ends, the last time students will conduct business in CougarWeb.
