Columbus State provides help with housing, food, other basic needs

College is a time of new experiences and building for your future. It can also be a time of increased expenses with less time to work and make money. As a result, more than 30% of college students are food insecure or in danger of becoming so, and up to 46% of community college students are housing insecure.

Columbus State knows that having basic needs met is essential to being able to focus on coursework and succeed in college. Through Columbus State Cares, we provide resources to assist with housing, food, safety, and other basic needs for qualified students.

Explore the services available and connect to college and community resources at cscc.edu/cares – and take the healthy first step toward moving yourself to financial and economic mobility.
