A new look and feel for Blackboard, and what it means for you

You will not be able to access your Blackboard courses for up to seven days starting Wednesday, May 16.

Blackboard will be down because Columbus State is migrating to the new version. Check your spring semester grades before May 16, or check your grades in Cougarweb while Blackboard is unavailable.

Starting summer semester, Blackboard will feature an updated look and feel, and a better mobile experience. Here are some of the key improvements that you can expect to see:

  • Modern look and feel. With updated colors, fonts, and spacing, you’ll notice a more modern and visually appealing look and feel.
  • Consistency across your devices. Expect a more uniform experience across all your devices, making it easier for you to switch from your laptop or computer to your phone or tablet.
  • A better mobile experience. With more tools and features optimized for your mobile browser, it’ll be easier for you to complete activities on-the-go from your phone or tablet. And, for quick and easy access to the most common on-the-go activities, download the Blackboard app, available for iOS, Android and Windows devices.

If you have any questions about these updates or about your online course, Blackboard offers a help website designed specifically for students that you may find useful.
