Theatre Columbus State presents “It Can’t Happen Here” July 18-21

Student News | Wednesday, July 18, 2018

The dark satire “It Can’t Happen Here” by Sinclair Lewis shows how a fragile democracy in the United States could turn to fascism when a demagogue becomes President. It provides an argument that journalism is a pillar of democracy. Adapted by Tony Taccone and Bennett S. Cohen. Theatre Columbus State will perform the play nightly at 8 p.m. July 18-21 in the Nestor Hall Auditorium, with an additional matinee at 3 p.m. on July 19. Admission is free. Video trailer here.
