Buckeye Bridge is an exceptional opportunity to earn an associate degree at Columbus State and a bachelor's degree from Ohio State. Check our eligibility requirements to see if you qualify, then keep reading for instructions.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, students must:
- Be an Ohio resident
- Earn an associate degree from Columbus State with at least a 2.0 GPA
- Have a student or family adjusted gross income of $100,000 or less, verified through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- File the FAFSA annually by OSU's priority deadline (2/1/2026)
- Transfer to Ohio State within three semesters of graduating Columbus State
- Maintain full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress at Ohio State

Start building your bridge: How to get started
Buckeye Bridge is open to future Columbus State students and those already enrolled, beginning with Spring 2026 Columbus State graduates.
Buckeye Bridge Intent Form
Interested in the Buckeye Bridge Program? Complete the Buckeye Bridge intent form, which allows upcoming CState graduates with an associate degree declare their interest in transferring to Ohio State through the Buckeye Bridge program. If you plan to graduate Columbus State this spring and enroll at Ohio State in Autumn 2026, you must complete the intent form by May 15.

Please note: This process will not replace a completed transfer admissions application to OSU.
Current Columbus State Students
- Submit the Buckeye Bridge Intent Form to determine eligibility (allow 10 business days for processing).
- Apply to Ohio State at apply.osu.edu. If you are a returning student visit Return to Ohio State | Academic Advising, The Ohio State University
- Submit FAFSA by Feb. 1, 2026 (OSU School Code: 003090). If you have not already, please submit immediately.
- Apply to graduate from CState - Graduation at Columbus State | Columbus State Community College
- Check CState email for updates from buckeyebridge@cscc.edu.
- Check your Ohio State My Applicant Center regularly for updates.
- Confirm acceptance to Ohio State by paying the $100 acceptance fee for attendance to Ohio State. (Your acceptance fee has a due date, please be sure to check your Ohio State applicant center for deadlines.)
Future Columbus State Students
High school seniors and incoming students who are eligible, you'll indicate your intention to transfer to The Ohio State University on your New Student Onboarding Questionnaire (beginning Autumn Semester 2026) that you'll complete once you are admitted to Columbus State. To get started with Buckeye Bridge, apply to Columbus State.
When you complete that questionnaire in Workday, you'll be asked to select an intended transfer institution and program of study. Select The Ohio State University as your intended transfer educational institution and then select your major at OSU from the drop-down menu.
