U.S. Department of Education Title IV Disclosure
In accordance with a requirement set forth by the U.S. Department of Education, Columbus
State Community College’s Practical Nursing Program is providing the information in
the following table to current and prospective nursing students. The disclosure requirements
are based on the U.S. Department of Education’s effort to prevent students from enrolling
in, and paying for, a program in which the student may not be able to obtain licensure
and therefore employment in a particular state/jurisdiction.
The U.S. Department of Education requires all nursing programs that participate in
Title IV HEA funding to post the following:
- A list of all states/jurisdictions where the institution’s curriculum meets state
educational requirements for professional licensure or certification.
- A list of all states/jurisdictions where the institution’s curriculum does not meet
state educational requirements for professional licensure or certification.
- A list of all states/jurisdictions where the institution has not made a determination
of whether or not the curriculum meets educational requirements.
The information within this table was collated in early 2020. Individual states/jurisdictions
may change their requirements for PN licensure at any time. Students should reach
out to the individual state/jurisdiction to confirm eligibility for licensure and
licensing requirements.
