The Student Advocacy Center begins 2025 with updated details on four programs: Fuel for Student Success, childcare vouchers, the Mid-Ohio Market at Columbus State, and a Housing Stabilization Resource Fair. 

Fuel for Student Success 
The Student Advocacy Center will continue the Fuel for Student Success Program for students who are experiencing temporary financial hardship with transportation and food needs. Enrolled students at the Columbus and Delaware campuses and Dublin Regional Learning Center may apply to receive a $50 gift card bundle. As part of the application process, students must describe their hardship. Applications will be reviewed weekly. Selected students must also review an online financial literacy presentation and pass a short quiz to receive the gift card bundle.

Childcare vouchers
The Student Advocacy Center will continue to support eligible parenting students with vouchers to assist with childcare expenses. For more information, visit the center’s website.

Mid-Ohio Market at Columbus State
The Mid-Ohio Market at Columbus State reopens on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. The Market Open House for the campus community and in-person on Friday, May 2. Visit the Student Advocacy Center CougarConnect page for more information and to register to attend. “Tasty Tuesdays,” which are for students only, will be held on Feb. 11, March 25, and April 15.

Housing Stabilization Resource Fair
All students are invited to the Student Advocacy Center Housing Stabilization Resource Fair. It will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Center for Workforce Development (WD) fourth-floor ballroom. The Fair will bring campus offices and community organizations together to provide educational materials to help students achieve their housing goals. Students can interact with partners about financial literacy, employment opportunities, property management, affordable housing options, and other services.
