Volunteer for the Student Conduct Hearing Board
Student News | Monday, November 6, 2023
The Office of Student Conduct offers leadership opportunities for the Columbus State community. The office seeks faculty, staff, and student volunteers for the Student Conduct Hearing Board (SCHB). Being a member of the SCHB provides professional development opportunities and more.
The SCHB is a body of faculty, staff, and students that works with the Office of Student Conduct to hear cases involving allegations of violations of the Student Code of Conduct. When cases are heard, the board must determine if a violation occurred and, if so, identify appropriate outcomes. Volunteers are required to attend one training on Zoom. There are currently two sessions to choose from this semester:
Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
To learn more or apply to serve on the conduct board, please complete the Student Conduct Hearing Board Volunteer Application Form or visit Office of Student Conduct/SCHB for more information. The deadline to submit the application is Thursday, Nov. 16 at noon.
