Pre-Course Registration Event Checklist

Apply to Columbus State

NOTE: If you have taken classes through the College Credit Plus program and would like to continue on as a traditional student at Columbus State, you will need to complete a standard application. Additionally, if you have not been an active student within the past three years, you will need to reapply to the college.

Managing your finances is one, if not the most, important step before attending a Course Registration Event

Review: the tuition and fees page

File: 2026 - 2027 FAFSA at studentaid.gov

Apply: for scholarships

Connect: with the Cashier's Office about questions about finances and payment plans before your Course Registration Event

Complete placement requirements by doing one or more of the following: 

1.  Completing Columbus State placement testing
2. Submitting ACT score reports
3. Submitting SAT score reports
4. Submitting AP score reports
5. Submitting IB score reports
6. Submitting previously earned college credit
7. Submitting your high school transcript
8. Submitting your GED transcript

NOTE: You may also submit an unofficial copy for placement purposes of any of the above to orientation@cscc.edu but keep in mind, an official copy of the reports above must be on file. This excludes placement testing.

Discover your Columbus State username and Cougar ID number, and create your password

1. Go to password.cscc.edu
2. Select "Discover/Activate,"
3. Enter the required information.

Access your Columbus State student email account to receive important information regarding:

• Finances
• Dates and Deadlines
• Class and instructor information 
• Events on campus

Instructions on how to access your student email account:

1.  Visit cscc.edu
2. Click on "Email" in the upper right-hand corner.
3. Click on "Email Office 365". 
4. Enter your CSCC email address (username@student.cscc.edu) and Password (same as CougarWeb)

Access Your Workday Account - For Autumn 2026 Registration

1.      Visit cscc.edu

2.      Click on "Workday" in the upper right-hand corner.

3.      Enter your CState email address (username@student.cscc.edu) and Password (same as CougarWeb)

4.      Complete your onboarding tasks prior to attending a Course Registration Event.

Register for your Course Registration Event!

In order to attend a Course Registration Event, you will need to:

1. Have placement information on file for reading, writing, and math
2. For Summer 2026 Registration: Complete part one of the Online Orientation to register. 
3. For Autumn 2026 Registration: Access your Workday account and complete your onboarding tasks to find your Course Registration Event registration task.

Note: Students who do not have a laptop or tablet and broadband internet should register for an in-person session. If students have additional questions about registration, please contact us at orientation@cscc.edu
