Undecided Students
Columbus State is the ideal place for undecided students to explore their options and decide on a program that can guide their decision of a four-year college or university, or determine their career path.
Did you know that as many as 79% of new college students in the U.S. may have questions or concerns about selecting a college major? Often times students who think they are certain of their major, end up changing their minds.
- You may choose "Undecided" on the college application. We recommend talking to an advisor as soon as possible to choose a major and plan your class schedule. Visit New Students & Orientation and contact your Navigator once you've applied and been accepted to Columbus State.
- Planning to transfer to a four-year college? Choose Associate of Arts or Associate of Science on the application.
- Just taking classes over the summer? Or are you fulfilling a prereq for your home college? Select "Transient Student" on the application. Transient Student Information
- Note on financial aid: You must choose a major in order to qualify for federal financial aid.
