Online Classes
Course Types - Summer 2026
Online Courses: Web courses are held completely online, although most web classes require you to
take exams at a Columbus State Testing Center or remotely via Respondus Monitor. Some web courses require you to collaborate in real time with your classmates at
specific dates and times using web-conferencing.
Blended Courses use a combination of online instruction and in-person classroom work. For a detailed

Course Types - Autumn 2026 and later
These course types apply to courses listed in Workday, for Autumn 2026 and later.
- In Person - courses are held in person, on campus
- Online Only - courses and tests are online, and there are no on-campus requirements
- Live Lecture Online Meetings - courses are all online with some scheduled online meetings
together, and there are no on-campus requirements
- Blended (online and in person) - a combination of in-person, on-campus, and online learning with scheduled meetings;
also includes online only class with in-person campus testing
