Block Scheduling
Beginning with Autumn Semester 2020, the college will implement the first stage of
block scheduling on Columbus Campus. Delaware Campus and the RLCs are already following
a block scheduling model with success, and have seen an increase in attempted credit
hours as a result. The documented success of the Delaware and RLCs work, along with
our Columbus Campus preparation work on the capital plan, make it extremely important
for us to be very efficient in our course scheduling in order to better assist students
and to accommodate space needs during renovations, relocations, etc.
Below you will find supporting documents including FAQ, and Columbus Campus block
scheduling templates to assure you have a visual reference of the different configurations
you may utilize in scheduling. Sections should fit into the template model based on
start time. Many sections will already align or just require a slight shift. There
will be some necessary exceptions, and Katie Kuhn is available to assist with how
best to handle these situations. Please contact Katie Kuhn, x2041, with any Block Scheduling questions.
