College event is finalist for award; staff member to present at conference

Columbus State will be represented in two ways at the upcoming Association of Collegiate Conference & Event Directors International (ACCED-I) Virtual Conference. The College’s recent Diversity in Hospitality: Black Chefs Speak is one of four finalists for the Inclusive Excellence Award. It was sponsored by the School of Hospitality Management and the Columbus State Foundation.

A Facebook watch party will take place during the awards portion. It will be held on Tuesday, March 23 at 3:45 p.m. on the ACCED-I Facebook page

Lori Gage, events coordinator, will be one of the many presenters at the ACCED-I Conference. It will be held Monday, March 22, through Wednesday, March 24. Gage’s topic is Leveraging Your Institutions Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Efforts to Enhance Conference and Events.
