Columbus State’s Writing Tutors will offer two workshops next week:
Growing Your Thesis (Columbus Campus)
Have you ever struggled with how to begin writing an essay? Have you ever been assigned
a topic and had difficulty deciding what you even had to say about it? This workshop
is focused on freewriting to generate a thesis statement, providing a guidepost to
use when getting started on an essay.
It will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 2 to 2:30 p.m. in the lower level of Union Hall, room 053. Register for a spot here.
What's Your Hook? (Delaware Campus)
Do you struggle with introductions? Are you looking for tips on how to make them more
interesting? Did you know there are several ways to write the hook of an introduction?
The hook is what will get the reader’s attention, which is important for every essay
you write!
It will he held on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 2 to 2:30 p.m. in Moeller Hall, room 222. You may register for a spot here.
