Two new Library events announced

Be a part of upcoming conversations about diverse perspectives, identities, experiences, cultures, and ideas explored through storytelling, reading stories, and poetry. Events include a virtual visit this month by Trung Le Nguyen, author of the award-winning graphic novel “The Magic Fish,” and a poetry reading and workshop in April featuring a recently published book by poet Taylor Byas.

- In-person book discussion: Tuesday, March 28 at 2 p.m. in the lower-level Library Media Studio.
- Virtual book discussion: Wednesday, March 29 at 2 p.m.
- Live virtual author talk with Trung Le Nguyen: Thursday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m.
Poetry reading and workshop
To celebrate National Poetry Month in April, the Library will host award-winning poet
Taylor Byas who will read her poetry and lead an interactive poetry-writing workshop.
Light refreshments will be served. Register for the reading or workshop to win a copy
of Taylor’s book “Bloodwarm” and to learn more about her work.
- Poetry Reading and Author Talk: Wednesday, April 5 at noon in the Mitchell Hall Event Center.
- Poetry Workshop: Wednesday, April 5 at 1 p.m. in the Mitchell Hall Event Center.
