Gospel Vocal Ensemble to perform September 29

Columbus State’s Gospel Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Emma L. Easton, will celebrate Gospel Music Heritage Month with a town hall followed by a tribute to legendary composer William Herbert Brewster. “The State of Gospel Music in the 21st Century” will be the topic of the Town Hall. Panelists will include musicians and recording artists Marvin Miller, Jr., Jesse Howell, Kaylah Armstead, and Terry Davis. Columbus GospelFest founder Lamont Glover will serve as moderator.

The event will be held in the Conference Center on the fourth floor of the Center for Workforce Development on Thursday, September 29 at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. (The Center for Workforce Development is located on Cleveland Avenue, next to the Bookstore.)
