Counseling Services program for students
Student News | Tuesday, July 30, 2019
During autumn semester, Counseling Services will be offering an alcohol awareness and harm reduction program for students known as CHOICES.
The two-hour program incorporates personal reflections on alcohol use, facts, risks, and harm reduction strategies for students who choose to drink alcohol. In some instances, it might also qualify as class credit for attendance in CHOICES.
If you might benefit from the program, it will be held on select Wednesday afternoons: September 25, October 16, November 6, and December 4. Each session will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Nestor Hall 319. Please contact Shelby Delp, specialist, at sdelp@cscc.edu, or Counseling Services at 614-287-2818 if you would like to sign up now. Each session will be posted on Cougar Connect and can be found by going to “CHOICES About Alcohol.”
If you attend one of the two-hour sessions, you’ll receive a $5.00 Subway gift card for completing the course, and you will take home an interactive journal of the information discussed.
