Recreation fitness classes – Free
(All group fitness classes take place in Delaware Hall 158)

Tuesdays
Cardio Sculpt: 1:00-1:30 p.m.

Roll & Stretch: 1:30-2:00 p.m.

Wednesdays
 Hatha Yoga: 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Thursdays
 CS Sweat: 1:00-1:30 p.m.

Roll & Stretch: 1:30-2:00 p.m.

Class Descriptions:

Cardio Sculpt – Learn how to focus on form in this cardio conditioning class. Aimed for the intermediate participant, this class incorporates circuits of endurance, strength, and plyometric exercises that are designed to increase cardiorespiratory endurance during this total body workout.

Roll and Stretch – This class gives participants the opportunity to relax and roll out the kinks using the foam rolling method. Stretching techniques are also used to help loosen tight muscles and increase flexibility.

Hatha Yoga & Meditation– This yoga class concentrates on physical and mental well-being through the use of bodily postures, breathing techniques, and meditation techniques. We aim to leave each participant feeling better than they did coming in. Suitable for all fitness levels.

CS Sweat – Get ready to sweat! This intermediate-level class includes circuits and timed interval training to help participants increase cardiorespiratory endurance and ignite fat-burning potential.

Self-Defense program – Free
Columbus State Police Department Training Room, Delaware Hall 047 (lower level)

Monday 5:00 p.m., Thursday 10:00 a.m., Friday noon

This empowering self-defense training for both men and women combines fitness training and martial arts and is taught by experienced instructors on the Columbus Campus.  All classes are provided free of charge. 

You can take a few classes or progress through four levels of training, learning valuable techniques to keep yourself and others safe.

Wellness workshops on the Columbus Campus will take place in Delaware Hall 158.
Wellness workshops on the Delaware Campus will take place in Moeller Hall 230.

The Conditioning Center – low cost fees may apply

Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Friday 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

The Conditioning Center offers fitness assessments, small group personal training, healthy life coaching, and conditioning consultations, all at affordable rates. Services by appointment only.

Kettlebell Conditioning 12:15 p.m.

These small group personal training style classes with six to eight people are offered throughout the semester. The low fees allow students to drop in as they find time in their schedules throughout the semester. With a variety of classes for all fitness levels, there is an opportunity for all.

Columbus Campus fitness center hours
Located in Delaware Hall 082

Monday-Thursday 6:15 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Friday 6:15 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Delaware Campus fitness center hours
Located in Moeller Hall 230

Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Both fitness centers are free for students and offer a variety of workout equipment such as cardio equipment, free weights, kettlebells, weight machines, as well as free weekly Fit Classes for students and other wellness activities.

STD/HIV testing – free
Testing will be available in Nestor Hall 116 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, Thursday, October 24, and Thursday, November 21.

Professional testing is available through a partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital F.A.C.E.S. program located on the Columbus Campus free of charge. It only takes a few minutes, in a private location, with counseling available if needed.
