Building a Stronger Campus
Check here for the latest on construction-related impacts to students, faculty, staff, and visitors as projects progress on downtown campus.
Columbus Campus downtown is slated for hundreds of millions of dollars of construction improvements over the next decade, primarily supported by voter-approved funding to modernize and replace aging facilities. Thanks for your patience as we work to build a stronger campus.
Autumn Semester 2025
Buildings
Franklin Hall
Franklin Hall is offline for renovations from Autumn Semester 2025 through Autumn Semester 2026. The building is no longer a pass-through for pedestrian access to the central courtyard. Franklin Hall will reopen in 2027 as a dedicated general instruction building.
Phillips Hall
The Languages and Communication Department, the Language Institute and the Non-Credit Registration Office are all now found at Phillips Hall on the Franklin University campus, at 303 S. Grant Ave.
Parking
- Student parking adjacent to Mitchell Hall (11-S) is closed off for the construction of OhioHealth Hall.
- Enrollment is up, so more students will be on Columbus Campus! There is still more parking than students, but we encourage students coming to campus to check the parking garage first to avoid the frustration and congestion of driving around looking for a space.
