OhioHealth Hall Breaks Ground
Sept. 19, 2025 | Joined by OhioHealth and other community leaders, Columbus State Community College kicked off construction of OhioHealth Hall, the new academic building that will enable the college to double the number of graduates in high-demand healthcare fields.
Introducing OhioHealth Hall
In June 2023, Columbus State Community College launched a bold $120 million initiative to double the number of graduates in high-demand health care fields over the next decade. At the heart of this vision is OhioHealth Hall, a state-of-the-art facility opening in 2027 that will expand access to life-changing education and meet the workforce needs of a rapidly growing region.
The $120 million project includes $85 million in voter-approved bond money, a historic $25 million endowment provided by OhioHealth, and philanthropy and gifts.

Columbus State is leading the way.
To double the number of health care graduates in our region, we’re launching a major expansion that includes:
- The OhioHealth Center for Health Sciences: An 80,000-square-foot academic facility with cutting-edge labs and classrooms
- Advanced simulation labs that give students real-world, hands-on training
- Expanded student support, so financial barriers don’t stop future caregivers from entering the field
This is a critical time to invest in Central Ohio’s healthcare workforce, as our population grows with new residents drawn by job opportunities — and as our aging generations require more care.
